Broncos earn 5th consecutive New Salem East-West Championship!

Broncos stampede over New Salem en-route to the 2022 New Salem East-West Championship. Lisbon's depth proved to much for South Border & New Salem who rounded out the top 3. Lisbon placed 11 Wrestlers in the top 8, and all wrestlers scored points for the Broncos. Lisbon is now the 5X defending mini-state champs.

Lisbon Wrestling Inducts 9 to Wrestling Hall of Fame


2022 HoF Inductees: H.K. Ulland, Rodney Anderson, Nick Storhaug, Harlan Volk, Mike McDaniel, Cody Anderson, Michael Nord, Dylan Urbach, Randy Mairs

The Lisbon Wrestling community celebrated at the Lisbon Bissel Golf Course on Friday evening, 21 January, inducting nine former coaches, wrestlers, and a current contributor as inaugural members of the Lisbon Wrestling Hall of Fame.  The inaugural members consist of Coaches H. Kenneth Ulland, Nick Storhaug, Harlan Volk; Wrestlers Mike McDaniel, Cody Anderson, Michael Nord, Dylan Urbach; and Contributor Randy Mairs.  Sponsoring the Lisbon Wrestling Hall of Fame is the Lisbon Wrestling Club.  The Wrestling Club is a non-profit organization formally established in 2006.  The Club’s mission promotes the sport of wrestling and provides area youth the training & resources to learn & compete in the sport of wrestling. 

The Lisbon Wrestling Hall of Fame includes three categories and five evaluated criteria.  The three established categories are:  Coach, Wrestler, and Contributor.  A committee then evaluates & ranks each candidate by the five criteria:  Number of State Titles, Number of State Place Winners, Mr. Wrestler, Career Win & Loss record, Individual Coaching or Wrestling Statistical Records, & Wrestling Contributions.  The wrestling club committee deliberated for several hours using the evaluated criteria resulting in nine inaugural members for the Class of 2022 Lisbon Wrestling Hall of Fame.
